Not Sure What Cut to Get?

Pick your face shape and we'll show you the styles that suit you best.

How do I find my face shape?

Pull your hair back and look straight into a mirror. Compare the width of your forehead, cheekbones, and jaw, and the length of your face:

  • Oval: face is a bit longer than wide, jaw slightly narrower than forehead
  • Round: width and length about the same, soft jaw with no sharp angles
  • Square: forehead, cheeks, and jaw about the same width, strong angular jaw
  • Oblong: face is noticeably longer than wide, with straight sides
  • Heart: wide forehead that narrows down to a pointed chin
  • Diamond: cheekbones are the widest part, narrow forehead and chin
  • Triangle: jaw is the widest part, narrowing up to a smaller forehead

Fade vs. Taper

All-Around Fade

The hair blends down to skin (or close to it) all the way around the sides and back. Clean, sharp, high-contrast.

Taper Fade

Only the edges fade: the sideburns and the neckline. The rest of the sides keep some length. Subtler, more professional, and grows out cleaner.

Low, Mid or High Fade?

It's all about where the fade starts. The dashed line shows the starting point.

Low Fade

Starts just above the ears and follows the hairline. Subtle and work-friendly, keeps more length on the sides.

Mid Fade

Starts around the middle of the sides, at the temples. The most popular balance between clean and bold.

High Fade

Starts up near the top of the head. Bold and high-contrast, shows the most skin.

Add "skin" (like a mid-skin fade) when the bottom goes all the way down to bare skin. Not sure which one? Tapers and low fades are the safest pick for work or school, and T3 can help you decide in the chair.
